It's 7 a.m. on Monday. I can't recall the last time I woke up this early. On Sunday, I went to bed early and slept soundly for the first time in I don't know how long. It's a wonderful morning. I'm in great mood. I'm hungry and looking forward to making a delicious breakfast. I consider a variety of options before settling on a plain cheese Omelette and a good cup of tea. Cooking is something I enjoy doing. When I'm in a good mood, I enjoy it even more. I prefer to move slowly around the kitchen. Today I have the luxury of taking it slowly. The omelette came out perfectly - just the way I like it. I eat my breakfast and drink a cup of steaming hot tea while sitting near a window. It's a great start to the week. Everything seems so natural. It's been a long time since I've felt this way on a Monday. I am excited to begin my day!!

It's a lazy Wednesday afternoon. It's one of those days when you don't have any or very little office work to do. Working from home has the advantage of allowing you to make the most of such days. My friend and I have already spent half an hour trying to figure out what to have for lunch. Finally, we place an order for Mexican food. Last night, we had a delicious Mava cake. My friend recommends that I order it for lunch too. I also order the Mava cake. The food and dessert are delivered. Season 2 of Panchayat is released today. We eat our lunch and dessert while watching the wholesome Panchayat. The food was excellent. The mava cake tasted even better today. We're not in any hurry to get back to work after this leisurely afternoon. Before going back to a busy evening of client calls, we continue to watch Panchayat and be grateful for the simple pleasures of life.

It was a long day today. But a productive one. I'm hungry and it's already 9 p.m. My friend, who has just arrived from work, is waiting for me to finish so we can make dinner plans. We're not in the mood to cook or order anything. We decide to go out. I convince my friend and buy some time to shower quickly. I quickly get ready by taking a hot shower. I get all dressed up(pretty unusual for me). Today appears to be one of those days. We decide to eat at a highway-side Dhaba, which is not far from our house. At this hour of the night, the Pune highways are breezy and comforting. It feels surreal to ride an activa on the highway surrounded by hills. It feels as if the day has only just begun. When we get to the Dhaba, we order some delicious Punjabi food, followed by my favourite Banarasi Paan. We return home with a satisfied feeling. It was indeed a pleasant end to a Thursday.

Ever visited your favourite food joint or a famous restaurant just to realise that there is a long waiting time or a huge queue to get inside the place and have the food. Moment you reach there is a person outside telling you "Sir waiting hai"!

Initially when this used to happen I just did not wait and walk away. I hated the idea of waiting to get the food. The size of the queues intimidated me. However, as soon as I gave it a shot once I realized that it's not that bad. Almost every time the waiting times used to be very less and the queues used to move faster than it seemed from outside. It all felt worth it.

The same is the case with life. Good things take time. You need to wait. They come to people who wait and atleast join the queue. Be it the things you want or the goals you want to achieve. Personal goals, professional goals or the Vada pav that you really like. It's all about getting in that line and the wait becomes worth it! We will never know until and unless we get in a line.

"Bhaiya dekhiye Metro shuru ho gaya hai" the auto wala says excitedly while pointing at a shining new metro which started operating just today!

"Isme jane ke liye token lagta hai na..hum sune hai" asks me with a child like yet a nervous energy. I say yes, and explained to him that it is not much different to the local trains that run and he should try taking a ride once!

"Paisa jyada toh nahi lagta na?" asks the driver. Natural for him to assume that shiny high tech looking stuff is costly. Without knowing the exact cost of the tickets since I didn't want to let him down, I reassure him that he should give it a go and that the tickets are not that expensive .

"6-7 mahine me pure Bambai me metro chalu ho jaega " . It is pretty evident from his tone and expressions that how excited he is with all these new developments. But shortly after, he says, "Par isse auto ka dhanda kam ho jaega," in a very dejected manner. And we continue along that journey soaking in the contrasting realities of life!

ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Lucky Bajaj. Yes, that is my real name. Strange as it may sound, this is true. My parents thought lets give our child a name that wouldn't need a nickname. Enough about my name. I am an IT Engineer by education and a Business analyst by profession. No, it's not as fancy as it sounds. I am like an any other average Indian guy in their 20's. Someone who is trying to catch up with the latest trends but is also an old-school in their heart. (I invest in cryptocurrency and pretend to know about them and I am also starting a blog in the times of Instagram reels).

In my free-time I like to scroll Instagram and feel bad about myself. I also like to cook, watch videos of other people making delicious foods, watch movies , nerd about the movies I watched, force people to watch the movies I watched and so on. I like to have an opinion on social-media(not that anyone cares - it just helps me in staying updated).

There is nothing specific I am planning to post here. I always wanted to have a website of my own with my name as a domain so that I can come here occasionally and post things that nobody gives a bat shit about.
